ABOUT Me

I started acting in 2017, following a 12-year career in fashion publishing. I studied improv at UCB and Magnet and took acting classes at The Barrow Group and Matthew Corozine Studio.

Since 2017, I have appeared in dozens of plays, independent short films, and TV shows shooting in and around New York.

In the winter of 2023, I played Tommy in Eduardo Machado’s Not About Me at Theater for the New City. The play received a wonderful review in the New York Times and my performance in particular was praised by numerous reviewers for its tenderness and strength. “Manning endows [Tommy] with a saintly glow,” wrote Theater Mania’s Zachary Stewart. “And in one of the play's more dramatic scenes, he stands between a gunman and his intended victim, diffusing the situation like a real Marvel superhero.”

I also work as a freelance writer covering everything from fashion and celebrities to pets, art, and design for various online publications. I write marketing copy for companies including former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter’s tech startup, Electragram. I also wrote the script for the 2022 Met Gala red carpet and I always have at least one or two narrative scripts in the works as well.

Outside of acting and writing, I enjoy cooking, museums, travel, building, crafting, and spending time with my 16-year-old rescue cat, Pumpkin.
